A long time ago in Korea, during the Chosun Dynasty, there was a group of women referred to as “Da-Mo.” The name “Da-Mo” refers to the job role of being a police women. Although they were regarded as low class citizens, they had the privilege to investigate high profile ladies whom no man could approach. Because the “Da-Mo” worked inside the Palace, they were inevitably exposed to all the Palace politics as well. However, once again, due to their low class stature, they were often treated no better than servants.

This drama follows the life of a “Damo” Chae-Ok (Ha Ji-Won) who works together with Commander Hwangbo Yoon (Lee Suh-Jin). The two of them, who have been long time partners, are investigating a case involving counterfeit money. To both of their surprise, the conspiracy leads back to their very own Palace!

As the drama progresses, Chae-Ok comes face to face with Jang Sung-Baek (Kim Min-Joon), the man responsible for leading the counterfeit incidents. For some reason, Chae-Ok senses a strange connection with the culprit. She later makes the realization that Sung-Baek is actually an important person from her past.

What is Chae-Ok’s relationship with Sung-Baek? And will it be enough to prevent her from arresting him?
